Abstract

Abstract:

Objective: The aim of the present study was to Identifying effective factors on the development of human capital productivity of the fire department and safety services through sports activities in metropolis Mashhad.

Methodology: In terms of purpose, it was applied and, in nature, classified under exploratory research, conducted using a mixed-methods approach (qualitative-quantitative). The qualitative sample comprised of sports managers from the municipality of Mashhad, managers of the Firefighting Organization, professors of sports management, and experts knowledgeable in the concepts of human capital productivity. The quantitative sample included all employees of the Firefighting Organization. Data analysis methods in the qualitative section utilized Grounded Theory, and for presenting the quantitative model, Structural Equation Modeling was employed using Smart PLS version 3 software.

Findings: The findings revealed that the effective factors on the development of human capital productivity through sporting activities include 47 open codes within 9 concepts and two categories: professional factors and motivational-supportive factors. Additionally, the results of confirmatory factor analysis indicated that the identified items and components explain the effective factors on the development of human capital productivity in the Firefighting Organization through sporting activities in the metropolis of Mashhad, and the conceptual model of the qualitative part was validated.

Conclusion: Productivity is contingent upon numerous factors and components. It is practically recommended that the initial step should involve recruiting professionals in the Firefighting Organization, followed by continuous on-the-job training by the finest coaches in Iran.
